The Public Schools of Brookline (PSB) seeks qualified candidates for the full-time exempt position of Finance Director. Our district serves approximately 7,000 students and operates eight K-8 schools and one high school. Under the supervision of the Deputy Superintendent for Administration and Finance, the Director is responsible for a variety of complex work in the management and oversight of the financial functions of the district including budget development, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, state reporting, and special revenue fund management. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be competent in analyzing and using data, and be proficient in the use of computer applications, particularly Excel and Word, Google applications and municipal fund accounting systems. Experience with MUNIS is highly desirable. A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required. Minimum of 7 years’ experience including 5 years supervising and developing staff. School Business Administrator licensure or Town Accountant certification required. An EEO/AA employer.
Salary commensurate with qualifications; anticipated salary range of $130,000 - $150,000.
