The Fiscal and Administrative Manager works with the Transportation Commissioner to provide high quality oversight of all aspects of the Department’s centralized administrative functions, with a primary focus on fiscal operations. This position is part of the Department’s senior leadership team and duties also include oversight of procurement/purchasing and involvement in personnel, information technology and communications relating to budget and finance. This position is responsible for fiscal and cash management of the Department’s ~$16M operating and ~$1.2M capital budgets, as well as ~$24M in revenues, including maintaining necessary financial controls. Serves as liaison to the City budget, finance, and procurement staff. Five or more years’ successful professional experience in business and financial management with emphasis on revenue, budget, and procurement.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Public Administration, Finance or related field or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training. Demonstrated interest in public sector opportunities and challenges. Ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with a keen attention to detail and comfort handling multiple types of tasks and projects.
