This position manages the Revenue Collections Office within the Finance Department with approximately six full-time employees and is responsible for the billing, collections and maintenance of property taxes, water and sewer, and motor vehicle excise accounts and is responsible for the day-to-day functions and supervises all staff and reports directly to the Manager of Revenue and Treasury Operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, organizational, communication, customer service skills, and possess working knowledge of the applicable municipal finance laws and Massachusetts Department of Revenue regulations related to the functions of Revenue Collections.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance or equivalent combination of training, education and experience required. Five years of demonstrated successful accounting or financial experience, preferably in a public-sector organization or school district. Highly organized and detail oriented individual able to handle multiple tasks while working in both a team environment as well as independently with minimum supervision. Working knowledge of computerized financial systems. Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials and /or HRMS, Invoice Cloud, and MUNIS a plus. Working knowledge of the applicable municipal finance laws and Massachusetts Department of Revenue regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word and Excel is required. Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communications skills, both written and verbal required. $96,003 - $113,715 annually + excellent benefits.
