    Winthrop, MA (19,316 pop.), is seeking an experienced municipal finance leader with exceptional financial acumen who will excel in this unique opportunity to work closely with the Town Manager and the Superintendent of Schools to craft the financial future of the Town. The Manager and Superintendent offices are co-located in Town Hall, and they have developed a true team approach with their staffs leading the way. This charming seaside community is situated at the entrance to one of the most beautiful harbors in New England. Winthrop is led by a nine-member Town Council, with a total general fund budget of approximately $71M. This is a true opportunity for a creative financial leader to blend school and general government finances into a unified approach for the community. Preferred candidates will have a bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred) in a field related to municipal finance or administration and at least five years of experience in local government finance or administration, or education and experience that is equivalent. The successful candidate will receive an attractive compensation package including health and retirement plans.

    Annual salary: $160K - $185K DOQ. EOE.
