The Town of Truro is seeking a Finance Director: Treasurer/ Collector of Taxes to provide professional administrative, supervisory and technical work in connection with the receipt, expenditure, investment and custody of municipal funds, managing the Town’s debt service including the issuance of bonds, financial forecasting and Town’s risk management program, the custody of tax title properties and collection of money due to the Town; and all other related work as required. The incumbent is responsible for providing administrative direction, control, coaching, and mentorship of the Finance Department, which consists of the Accounting, Assessing, Treasurer/Tax Collecting, and Parking Clerk departments. This is a 40-hour per week, non-union position.
RECOMMENDED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in public administration, finance, accounting, business, government or related field; three to five years’ experience in business or financial management; experience working with computers; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred qualifications: MA Treasurer’s Certification, MA Collector’s Certification
Starting Salary Range: $120,000- $132,000 annually DOQ
