The Town of Sharon is seeking a full-time (37.5 hours/week: M-W 8:30am–5pm; Th 8:30am-8pm; F 8:30am-12:30pm) Accounting Financial Assistant to provide analytical and accounting work in the maintenance and processing of financial records, including accounts payable, school payroll, and maintenance of budget accounts and transactions. Also serves as administrative support to Veterans’ Agent in the creation of veterans’ benefit claims, drafting of correspondence and maintenance of service records and other confidential files.
Qualifications and experience:Associate’s degree required, with a minimum of five years’ experience, preferably in a municipal setting. Bachelor’s preferred. Payroll, accounts payable and MUNIS software experience strongly preferred.
Starting Salary Range: $50,420 - $53,910 annually DOQ, plus benefits.
