    Town of Ashfield Town Accountant The Town of Ashfield is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a part-time Municipal Accountant. Ashfield is a town of 1,695 people and an annual budget of $6.6 million, with two enterprise funds. This position will require 8-12 hours per week, with at least 6 of those being completed on-site at Town Hall and with some required in-person work on Mondays. Warrants are processed biweekly. Salary range will be $22,000-$25,000 per year based on experience. This position works under the supervision of the Town Administrator and is appointed by the Select Board. Work will commence in an observing capacity with existing staff shortly after hiring and assuming full responsibility on July 1, 2023. Prior experience in a related field is required. Minimum qualifications include either a bachelor’s degree in accounting, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a related field. Municipal experience is highly preferred. Experience with Vadar accounting software is a plus. The selected candidate will need to learn to use MIP accounting software on a short-term basis to close out FY2023 books.
