    The Town of Edgartown (pop. 4,800) seeks a qualified candidate to serve as Town Accountant. The Town Accountant performs administrative, supervisory and technical work in monitoring, directing, and auditing the Town’s financial and accounting system. Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field is preferred, and at least three years of experience in accounting or financial management; municipal accounting experience highly desirable. Knowledge of Massachusetts municipal finance laws and relevant computer systems; proficient in municipal software systems. Massachusetts Governmental Accounting Certificate preferred. If not already certified, must obtain Governmental Accounting Certificate within three years of appointment.Annual salary $90,000 - $100,000+ depending on experience.
