ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF MUNICIPAL & PROPERTY DIVISION
$65,949 – $ 94,867, Labor Grade 31
The New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration seeks an Assistant Director to administer the Municipal and Property Division policies and goals in order to ensure the accurate and timely collection of municipal finance information and the establishment of the various tax rates in the state. Direct operations and provide oversight over Division personnel including: planning, developing, and implementing short and long term program objectives to assist in the establishment of just and equitable tax rates. Review and interpret local governmental actions that affect local property tax rates and oversee the process of municipal accounting, collection, and approval of local finance details and to equalize the total value of property in the state.
Education: Master's degree from a recognized college or university major study business administration, accounting, public administration or engineering.
Experience: Seven years' experience in a field the field of property appraisal, four years of which must have been in a management level position involving administrative or supervisory duties concerned with program administration, program planning and evaluation or related management experience.
Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with major study business administration, accounting, public administration or engineering.
Experience: Eight years' experience in a field of property appraisal, four years of which must have been in a management level position involving administrative or supervisory duties concerned with program administration, program planning and evaluation or related management experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: As a condition of employment to ensure suitability for exposure to confidential information all Department employees shall be subject to initial checks and periodic rechecks of their criminal background history, which may include an FBI background review, a state background review, and a check with local law enforcement agencies. The receipt of an unfavorable result may be grounds for disciplinary action up to and including dismissal.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Must possess a valid driver's license for statewide travel.
