    Wareham Public Schools. Wareham, Massachusetts Job Details.  This position is a full-time, calendar year position and funded through the LEA budget. This position is part of the Secretaries’ Union.

    1.Process and distribute school payroll for all personnel including substitutes

    2.Prepare and transmit reports to outside agencies.

    3.Handle all paperwork for new employees and all payroll/personnel forms including; CORI and SAFIS reporting, I-9 forms, tax forms, direct deposit forms, 403b plans, flexible spending plans, health, life and dental insurance and enrollment in retirement plans (OBRA, PERAC,MTRS)

    4.Responsible for completing employment verification forms

    5.Responsible for processing unemployment claims for all school department employees

    6.Responsible for processing workers’ compensation accident reports for all school department employees

    7.Maintain all personnel files

    8.Prepare seniority lists for all union contracted employees

    9.Maintain sick bank lists for all union contracted employees

    10.Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent and/or Designee.

    Job Requirements

    •Highly professional demeanor

    •Demonstrable skills in computer systems, Microsoft Office Professional Applications, particularly Excel

    •Experience managing complex software systems such as payroll (Harpers preferred)

    •Knowledge of and familiarity with the Massachusetts Teachers Retirement System •Interpersonal Relations

    •Effective communication skills

    •Discretion, judgment, initiative, confidentiality

    •Ability to multi task in a busy office

    At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred

    Bachelor degree preferred

    Citizenship, residency or work visa required
