8:30-9:15         Registration - Continental Breakfast and Coffee

9:15 – 10:00    Student Activity Account Audits. The accounting firm of Melanson Heath will relay their experience of the types of problems they have found and their procedures for conducting these audits.

10:15 – 11:00 Ransom ware, the Cyber Crime That Can Happen:  The Tewksbury Experience.  Tewksbury Police Chief Timothy Sheehan will relay his experience with this crime that hit his department.

11:00-11:45   The ACA’s Excise Tax on High Cost Employer-sponsored Health Coverage (AKA The Cadillac Tax): It is coming in 2018, it will likely effect Massachusetts health plans and it could have a serious impact on your budget.  Danny Rhodes from The Segal Company will define the tax, explain how it is calculated and will share some ideas on how to moderate the impact

11:45 – 12:30 The ACA’s New Employer Reporting Requirement: Beginning in 2016, Applicable Large Employers (ALE) must file Form 1094 and Form 1095 to provide information to the IRS and plan participants about health coverage provided to full-time employees during 2015.  Brian Malynn from the Segal Company will update us on this requirement.

12:30-1:30 Lunch

1:30-2:00   State of the State A Legislative update, Katie McCue, Financial Policy Analyst, Mass Municipal Assoc.
