The Town of Brookline Comptroller’s office is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Accountant-Benefits. Responsible in assisting the Comptroller and Assistant Comptroller in maintaining and administering the Town’s financial accounting system with specific focus on the reconciling/auditing of the health/life/dental insurance benefit programs. Maintain database of employee/retiree participants by plan (3,500+). Assist with auditors/actuary with year-end audits.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; three to five years of progressively responsible experience in governmental or non-profit accounting, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong Microsoft Office skills highly desirable.
Starting salary range $62,532 – $70,752 per year DOQ plus generous benefits.
