Under the administrative direction of the Town Administrator this position plans, directs, coordinates, implements and, monitors all fiscal activities of the of the town including the maintenance of financial records and overseeing the expenditure of funds in accordance with applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations and adherence to the Government Accounting Standard Board (GASAB). Supervises 1 FTE. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field; a minimum of seven to 10 years progressively responsible work experience preferably in a municipal setting; or equivalent Massachusetts Governmental Accounting Certification is required within three years of appointment.
